At the end of the year, many of our patients have satisfied their insurance and Medicare deductibles. This often means that they can get a medical eye exam or have diagnostic tests performed with no out of pocket expense.
This can be particularly valuable for those patients that have cataract, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes or other eye diseases that require monitoring at regular intervals. It makes good sense to get these tests done before January 1.
